The Proposed Bristol Arena
Unlike many arenas in the UK, Bristol is set to designed from the ground up with flexibility at its heart. The horse shoe bowl seating arrangements mean that that Brisol Arena will be able to accommodate varying types and sizes of events. The arena will combine fixed seating with retractable blocks for increase flexibility. At its maximum capacity, Bristol Arena will pack a whopping 12,000 visitors into its seats. For more intimate shows, the arena can easy scale down to 5000.
The age old problem with end stage events at traditional sporting arenas, is avoided with the introduction of the upper horse shoe tier of seating at Bristol Arena. Half arena events bring the stage towards the centre of the arena floor, making full use of this upper tier.
Because of the ground up design, acoustic quality has been taken into consideration at an early stage in the design process.
